Full Job Description

Urology Specialist of the Carolinas is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Clinician (PA/NP) to join our team of dedicated professionals for our University office in our Central Region. This is a full-time role with a four-and-a-half day work week.

Urology Specialists of the Carolinas is a well-established independent urology group with seven offices located throughout the Charlotte region. We have thirty-five providers and a large support staff. Our Urologists are educated and trained at some of the country’s best medical schools and teaching hospitals. We provide the highest quality care and cover the spectrum of diseases encountered by adults.

APC Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Clinician provides primary health care and performs selective medical services under the direction of practice physicians.

Primary Job Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Perform patient evaluations, consults, and surgical follow-ups
  • Perform specialized procedures
  • Order appropriate testing
  • Collaborate with physicians to provide appropriate care within the scope of practice for physician’s assistants or nurse practitioners
  • Assume responsibilities for managing the care of patients
  • On-call required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program with current RN License and Advanced Practice Certification.
  • Graduate of a university program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education (ARCE) for the Physician Assistant with certification by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), license to practice in North Carolina
  • Previous outpatient urology experience as an NP or PA preferred
  • New grads are welcome.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • COVID Vaccination.

Physical Requirement:

  • Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling.
  • Must be able to lift and support up to 30 lbs.
  • Use of computer
